Earth Hour Festival 2019 – 30 March 2019

Let’s celebrate climate action!

We want to celebrate Earth Hour with you! The world’s largest climate protection campaign is designed to draw as much attention as possible to the topic of climate protection. However, we think that this is not all. The Earth Hour should be thought-provoking and, above all, it should motivate to act. Therefore we are inviting everyone to this years event to stand up for climate action!

On 30. March 2019 at 17:00 the workshops started at “Grüne Insel” at the National Park Camp Lobau, which strengthened our connection to nature and showed us new aspects. After the common meal at the campfire followed an inspiring and touching story by Anna, which showed us how important connections of all kinds are for us as humans, but also everywhere in nature. With animated conversations and exuberant dances we ended the evening with a musical performance by i Radiatori. With over 60 participants the event was a full success!

Workshops:

– Excursion to the Donau-Auen National Park with fictional TV coverage of various climate change scenarios
– Bee hotels
– Urban Wilderness
– Connecting to nature with all your senses
– Ecosystem services

Why?

The Earth Hour is the biggest symbolic climate campaign in the world in which millions of people show climate action by turning down their lights between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. local time. Each year it is accompanied by numerous actions. Find out more about the Earth Hour!
