“Umgedacht” – SDGs – What’s that?

“Umgedacht” – SDGs – What’s that?

These are the Sustainable Development Goals! So, 17 objectives agreed on by the United Nations for sustainable development.

Since these goals concern all of us, but nobody really knows what they are about, we have invited a few guests to our show, who will tell us more about the topic and what their relationship to the SDGs is.

Linda Exenberger from the Institute for Environment, Peace and Development was with us in the studio. Together with her colleague Franz Joseph Huainigg she wrote a book for the SDGs last year:”Unsere Welt, Unsere Zukunft”. The book is also intended to introduce young people between 9 and 13 years of age to this complex topic and tells of 17 children around the globe who describe the problems from their perspective.

We also welcomed Nadine and Joel from Generation Earth, who also came up with a strategy for carrying the unknown goals out into the world. In the course of their project “Youth4Future”, they made it possible for 100 (!) young adults to take part in a free guided tour of the UN and then to take a close look at the SDGs together with them.

Thanks to our guests we now know that each of us can contribute to the fulfillment of our goals, you ask yourself how? Then take a listen!

Our next show: on July 14th at 7 pm, LIVE on ORANGE 94.0 or on the Internet via Live-Stream at o94.at!
